The school views assemblies as an essential part of the school day as a chance for all pupil to share in a communal activity. Assemblies take place twice a week and are often lead by classes who devote time and energy to their presentations.

The Aurobindo school is affiliated to the CBSE curriculum. English is the medium of Instruction and the CBSE board administers one public examination - CBSE at the end of year X. The examination is held annually in March. The academic year consists of two semesters – Autum term from June to November and a spring term from January to March with winter in between. The Aurobindo school follows a five and a half day week comprising of 45 periods. The overall student / teacher ratio is 10:1 and the average strength of a class is around 30 students.
